I Was Offended Until...

A note to the people I judged...

I was offended by your success until I realized that I could be inspired by you and make positive changes too.

I was offended by your happiness until I realized that I needed to( not search for) but CREATE my own happiness for myself.

I was offended by your "fakeness" until I realized I was only judging you because I was NOT my truest self because I just wanted people to like me. I needed to learn how to truly love myself and have boundaries from people who didn't have my best intentions.

I was offended by your healthy relationship with food until I used it as a guide for my own health journey too. My emotions are real, and food and over exercising are not and can never be what solves the reasons I'm sad or stressed. Instead I can face them and address my stresses without seeking this comfort....or punishment. I am worthy and strong enough to do this.

I was offended until...I stopped being offended by realizing that I had some work to do internally and that inner mean girl had enough time at the wheel.

Thank you friends for being the inspiration I truly needed to be able to grow into who I am today. And thank you to myself to be open to the idea of growth and asking myself WHY are these struggles for me.

It gives me hope & gratitude today that I can continue to see more love, acceptance and inspiration tomorrow. #loveoverhate #ThankfulThursday

To Be, Not To Do

Instead of a TO DO list what if we made TO BE lists? Hear me out because we can be the QUEEN B of to do lists (thank you Lisa Frank stationary from my child hood) but we rarely think about the type of person it takes to accomplish said list. So let's digest this a little bit.

Take for example my job with Coaching...

My TO DO LIST / GOALS
are to...

Help 5-7 new people get started in their health & wellness journey

help 5-7 new people launch their wellness business and run the next group with me & help them to also help others

provide a support system for active coaches and clients & help them continue to see results


Now I need to look at this list from a TO BE list....

I need ....

TO BE DISCIPLINED & CONSISTENT in how I show up for my business with the times I sit down to work

TO BE ORGANIZED so I can have structure and not get overwhelmed

TO BE COMPASSIONATE & listen to the needs of my team mates and clients by helping each person in the right way


My TO BE LIST needs to be looked at often because if I'm not focused on ACTING LIKE the type of person who can do these things then my mind will wander, doubts will set in and I won't be able to accomplish my goals.

With that said you can relate this to work, relationships, your health...ANY ASPECT of life.

Because yes, you CAN become the type of person who sets goals and reaches them. I know because I am proof that it CAN be done.

Looking back in HS I was the class clown, barely scraped by with mostly C- grades and have my defended my excuses until I was blue in the face.

The Hardest Part of My Job?

Someone once asked me...what's the hardest part of my job & I easily said...."It's not being able to help someone get to where they want to go".

I deep down struggle with this you guys.
I doubt my capabilities. I second guess myself & try to come up with NEW ideas and NEW ways to help people see they are WORTHY of MORE.

I share my story, I share what's helped me, but the action is left to the reader to look inward and see they can do this too.

But I realize that I am ONLY responsible for my actions. Just like we ALL are.

Actions speak louder than words so I must ACT like the type of person who doesn't doubt their capabilities. I must ACT like the type of person that leads and helps others become leaders too....easier said than done, amiright!?

Anyway, just some thoughts I've been having lately, because while YES, I love my work, it's also pretty tough at times and I know that this just means I'm in need of more personal development. So if you have tips I'm here to listen. XO

Get Out of Your Own Way

GETOUT OF YOUR OWN WAY

Sometimes we need this reminder and a little self reflection. Think about it, in what way have you STOPPED before starting something that could lead you down the RIGHT path?

I can recall quite a few experiences that caused me to stay stuck.....in an unhealthy relationship... to scared & afraid to fail at Coaching......not seeking help for my emotional/binge eating....to name a few.

Fear gives us the illusion that if we do NOTHING then we don't get hurt, but in reality, it is manifesting the EXACT thing we fear...and that is NOTHING CHANGES FOR THE BETTER.

So the TIME IS NOW to get our of your way & let the dreamer & do-er in you STEP THE FREAK UP!!!!

Life is short and we are either living with POSITIVE CHANGES and EXPERIENCES or dying daily from not living in our truth that we SHOULD live and love ourselves so we can be BETTER for the people around us.

If you need a plan of action let's chat. Our community is all about confronting those fears and taking real and DOABLE action. TOGETHER.

Time to Detach?

Detachment is often looked at as a bad thing, but in reality it's those that stop letting fear take over, who are truly happiest.... Let me explain this in my own experience...

Do you remember when I owned my own fitness studio & closed after one year?

My fear of LOSS was STRONG. It told me that if I closed I would let everyone down. My fear told me I was a failure. My fear told me that I am not trying hard enough.

I almost hung on for ALL the wrong reasons & the one thing I did was DETACH from this fear.

Ya know your body will tell you when somethings wrong. Anxiety, depression, anger, envy. These are all signs you probably don't need to be where you are at... whether it be a career or a relationship.

I had to listen to those signs and DETACH. Only THEN was I able to LOOK FOR hope.

Too often we only see the bad because we are ONLY LOOKING FOR IT. If we expect it &it happens, then we aren't let down, right?!

WRONG.

Our view is clouded when we CHOOSE to ONLY see the doubts, the judgements, the envy and the hopelessness.

I had to tell myself.....
"STOP LOOKING FOR THE WRONG, WHEN THE RIGHT CHOICES ARE PROBABLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU."

So instead of hanging on & losing more money & time & sleep... I detached from the situation so I could see the answer.

That answer came when my sister "jokingly" said, "Hey our renters are moving out, you guys should just move back home & buy our house."

If I hadn't seen this as the answer then I would have scoffed it off & stayed STUCK.

I'm so thankful she said that. Because moving back has been such a blessing & I have been able to find hope, clarity & even grow mentally physically & financially. I have been able to help people the way I set out to do, not only with their health but with their wealth too.

I know these roadblocks had to happen for me because that's where growth comes from.

I had to open my eyes & DETACH from the ego of being liked & accepted.

I had to act like I LIKED ME for me, & work on treating myself better.

It's a journey for all of us but I hope that you also DETACH from what no longer serves you so that you can see the opportunities for growth also.

Please ask yourself...."what do I need to detach from? What do I need to let go?"

I set out to help others, but we are only willing to accept the love and positive changes we THINK we deserve. And if we think we don't deserve it DEEP DOWN, then we continue to struggle and self sabotage. Please understand, all change begins within.

Let go of the judgements of yourself and others. Start from a place of love and acceptance. Your whole life can change when you do this. Love you guys.

Bla Bla Bla...

Bla bla bla... Now go workout.

(Exact convo with myself). Listen, I stayed up until 2am watching MANIFEST (So great btw) ....And when my alarm clock went off I slept in another hour, so my whole day just felt "off". I'm sure you know that feeling, so I had to stop over thinking about what I needed to get done and just START DOING.

Ya know what taking action does?! It silences the noise in your head....you know, that voice that gives you all the reasons to do OTHER things.

And exercise helps with that focus... ya think that oxygenated blood goes JUST to your muscles!?!

Nah man. You think more clearly after a sweat sesh and you start becoming the type of person who does what they "WISHED" they would do.

Not My Job

Good thing it isn't our job to make other people like us. It's our job to make sure that we like ourselves.

We do this through positive and loving thoughts, words and actions.

I get it guys, life can be tough when you feel you are doing the BEST you can and you continue to help others, try to be EVERYTHING for someone else.

You wait for validation and approval from others but it sometimes never comes.....but let's be honest, you are ONLY seeking it from others because you haven't given YOURSELF this acceptance.

Only YOU can fulfill this need.

I know bc I have struggled with people pleasing for YEARSSSSSSSS so I too have to remember that Happiness comes from within & yes, you and I are both worthy of it.

Horseshoe Day

He did say we would be working our horse shoes today. I gotta be honest with ya, when I started this program I felt like it was a little slow...but hear me out. He was laying such a strong foundation for each move to be executed properly and actually taking the time to teach about proper body mechanics & he really stressed about WHY you might struggle with certain moves and what to do to build on your weaknesses...and even as a trainer/instructor for nearly 10+ years I too learned SO MUCH.

That was stage 1. Now that I'm into stage 2(starts at week 5) I can see & FEEL how he is building on from those foundational moves.

Guys this program is incredible and while I'm not even at the halfway point I can guarantee I'm going to CONTINUE to learn and grow(in knowledge & triceps)

With that said, why don't you join me? I've got a new group starting prep week September 20th. We ALL need to focus more on strength mobility and longevity so why not learn from an NBA Trainer who knows his stuff and makes you WANT to keep showing up for your workouts and nutrition?
