Self Care and Self Love
Self care and self love are NOT coined phrases from someone selfish. Love of SELF is a MUST for you to live a happy life for yourself AND for others. Ya ever heard of "love your neighbor as yourself"!?
Well what if you tell yourself crap all day and make NO time to be happy and have joy & create a life you love living!??!?
Are you really showing your neighbor LOVE or just doing it because it's the RIGHT thing to do?! & deep down you are full of resentment, envy & guilty of those negative thoughts.
Guys, I'm SO GUILTY of this, and have struggled in this area for a LONG time. It's taken me YEARS (& still learning) to understand the importance of LOVING MYSELF.
Even if I didn't FEEL like I was worthy I had to remind myself every day that I was & as soon as I thought negatively I had to compliment myself to hush the loud mean girl in my head....
Ya see, My head and my heart are in this constant battle.
Brain is like..."Statistics say you have a less than 2% rate of succeeding, so don't waste time failing. Let's take the easy way out...& do nothing.
Heart is like...."But what if you succeed!? What would that look like and feel like?!"
What impact could that be for you and others??!
Wanna know what to do?!?! It's to live in LOVE. Choose the heart. Fight your fear of failure EVERYTIME. Because when you fail, you learn something to make you wiser and stronger for the next thing you face.
Learn to trust who you are and realize that you are WORTHY of love..to give and receive it authentically & unapologetically #selflove #selfcare #loveyourselfchallenge

Diet?
THE STUBBORN BINGE EATING, OVERTRAINING FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
....Thats what I was..for nearly 2 years...but let's be real, when I signed up in 2014, I STILL didn't understand the importance of TRULY following this system.
It wasn't until 2017, when I closed my studio and started focusing on working out FOR ME is when I not only saw better results, but I FELT 1,000X STRONGER. I went from being physically active 25 hours a week down to under 5 hours per week....and THESE are the results I've gotten from stopping the overtraining
And guys..... SERIOUSLY, I have eaten so much food while on this program. Y'all don't need to diet when you spend 30 minutes a day doing the RIGHT exercises and taking in the RIGHT supplements.
Following our system of 80% cleaner eating & following these workouts ACTUALLY works. Shout out to my clients & team mates and figuring out how to work smarter, not harder!!!!

A Fitness Career
The struggles of the fitness career....can you relate?!
I always loved sports but didn't grow up really GREAT at one thing. But being raised in a small town in Indiana everyone played basketball and I was definitely better at playing basketball than I was at test-taking. I 'tried' college and when I say the word 'try' I mean I showed up a few times over the year that I attended. School was NOT for me. So I dropped out.
I worked in my sister’s cafe until 2007 when I moved to Pennsylvania and got married to my best friend Eddie. I needed a job so that same year I started in fitness at the local YMCA . I showed people how to use machines that I barely knew how to use.
With very little experience and no certifications to my name in 2008 I went for my first license and I became a Zumba instructor!!! And years following I worked for gyms and studios and even opened up my own place.
I KNEW I wanted a fitness career but year after year my certification expenses added up- I eventually made LESS than what I was bringing in! But one thing it's taught me people STILL need help with nutrition and fitness & I shouldn't stop trying to help.
I didn't want to become a Nutritionist or Dietitian. Going back to school would have put me in debt. So what was left? Was there really a way to make a full time income working for myself in a health career WITHOUT a degree?
I was teaching 15+ classes and personal training during this time but I KNOW what it felt like to live paycheck to paycheck and I was SICK OF IT. Lack of Sleep and Overtraining my body was crushing my soul (bc I love sleep. LIKE…. A LOT.)
I knew something had to change. I became an Online Coach in 2014 and in about 3 years I replaced both mine and my husband’s income with hard work & only pockets of time that I had in my day.
I share my story because I want to let YOU know there's a better way.

Why I Never Stop Asking
Workout #1 "Ava, wanna workout with me!?"
Response: hard eye roll, walks away.
Workout #2 "Ya working our with me today?!
Response: smiles...and watches.
Workout #3 " Want to join today? I'm doing core and you can bring a towel to lay on it."
Response: brings out towels and gets up to do 20 seconds with me
Workout 4-7 ...she watches time to time...still curious...I'm still asking....
Workout #8 Ava asks if she can works out with me.
Guys, this is WHY I NEVER STOP ASKING you to join me.
We are ALL like kids, curious, scared to do something embarrassing in front of someone else...but deep down we think....."maybe I should try."
We ended up doing a fun circuit together. I'll post it later tonight...and yes, she did the WHOLE THING!!!

Excuses or Reasons
We either have excuses for an unhealthy lifestyle, or reasons for a healthy lifestyle....and most times it's the same answers both sides give.
I hope you know I don't post my journey to make anyone feel guilty, instead I post to uplift you, encourage you & say in order to move closer to where you want to be you must first ACT like you are already there. I woke up with a sore neck & almost skipped and did a rest day again....but I KNEW I would feel better if I didn't skip.
Consistency, hard work and living an 80/20(80% healthy lifestyle...20% whatevs Gimmie that ) ....has brought more happiness and fulfillment than living 20/80 life ever could. Trust me when I say this is WORTH it. Bc I'm worth it. And so are you.

Listen guys, ya think I wasn't "poop my pants" skrrd to death before....and even during my Coach/ entrepreneur journey!??!
I have and do have ALL the same fears as anyone else!!!
And YES, fear is the #1 stopper of your dreams and goals.
Afraid of rejection. Afraid of what others think. Afraid to be judged. Afraid this won't work out.
So what do we do about it!? Stay stuck or grow into WHO we want to become?!? Stay with me if you are done being stuck too
3 ways to overcome fear....
#1 Become rooted and WHY you want to take action. What's your emotional Connection???? What COULD life be like when you succeeded?!
For me my fear came from lack of confidence in the Coaching Opportunity. I didn't know what working ONLINE looked like, so my newness at it scared me....for nearly 2 years!!!
But I couldn't just say it's not for me, if I didn't even TRY...that's not my truth and I'm not here to blame or give an excuse. I'm here to be HONEST with myself, because lying to myself just isn't working.
So here's the reasons and what rooted me to why I wanted to became a coach
Community and deeper friendships
more purpose in helping others
need more accountability to my own health
craved change and purpose
wanted to work my own hours
no more cap on my income
travel included?! Yes please.
So, What needed to happen!?!?
#2 Get uncomfortable
Growth doesn't happen in comfort
You have to get out there. Share. Learn and grow. Invest in YOURSELF. Start from the beginning and be OK WITH THAT.
#3 Take Action
Know and DO the things that help change me for the better so I can have the knowledge & confidence to help others ...
Personal development & Growth EVERYDAY.
Show proof what I offer actually DOES work
Connect & Uplift the people around me

I Am Intentional
"I AM INTENTIONAL"
That was today's meditation for today and its so important to really think about what you want to be intentional about.. if its important enough to you, you will make it work...but without a plan it's like working upstream...uphill....and in the dark.
I'm actually taking a break from my current program to do body weight workouts only the next 10 days Having a plan is a MUST when it comes to staying on track.
I AM intentional about my health and YES, I brought my workouts (wifi only needed) and 10 superfoods shake packets so I KNOW I will get optimum nutrition while on vacay. If there's one thing I learned from being being a Coach it's the importance of HAVING A PLAN FOR SUCCESS
