Sayings to Ditch and Adopt

What comes out of your mouth comes into your life. So speak wise & kind words friends.

What would happen if we decided, from this point forward, to ONLY speak POSITIVE truths about ourselves?!?!

I remember a time I laughed at mantras and "feel good" sayings. Yup, you could say I was skeptical and doubted EVERYTHING so the fact that now, I % believe that words have this much power is PROOF that if I can change my mindset, then I DO hold the power to change my life....and so can you.

SAYINGS TO DITCH...

"I'm always running late!"
"I am a huge procrastinator."
"I am not organized."
"I am so unhealthy."
"I am not a motivated person."
"I will never get that raise."
"I will always be poor."
"I am not loveable."
"I wish I could do that, but I'm too scared."

SAYINGS TO ADOPT....

"I AM on time because I value my friends time."

"I AM an organized and productive person because I
get what I need done in a timely manner!
((( The book "Eat That Frog and The 5 second Rule helps me with that.")))

"I AM a healthy person because I shop for foods on(give specific day) that will help heal my body from the inside out."

"I AM a healthy person because I will get up and move today at(give specific time)."

"I AM a positive person because I focus on developing a positive mindset by everyday(give specific time) diving into personal growth/development for 10 minutes."

"I AM worthy of more and I show it in the way I show up to my work."

"I AM worthy of love and I show others how to love me by showing it to myself first."

"I AM brave and willing to try new things, after all that is the ONLY way to grow and learn!"

Hope that helps you today friend. If there's one mantra/affirmation that stands out to you more than others then I encourage you to dive deeper into it.

You DO have the power to change your life. We all need a hero...so let's become one.

Sex and Money

Hi, I'd like to sit awkwardly in a pile of rocks and leaves and talk about uncomfortable things today...
Sex and money.

Ya see, these 2 subjects have ALWAYS been taboo....especially if you are a midwest "nice, Christian". Quite often I would hear "EVIL" as an adjective used to describe these words....and tbh it is CRAZY hard to change your belief system when you have had decades of your life telling you one thing.

And maybe you are the same....there is MAJOR GUILT AND SHAME around these subjects and I've come to find out WHY and it seems to be the SAME reasons we judge a LOT of things...

There are people in this world doing BAD things with sex and money. There is sex trafficking. There is greed. And there continues to be selfish people NOT doing good in this world. When we see that then our belief of "BAD" and "WRONG" is solidified.

But the story and the REAL truth is this...those are "BAD" examples. Let's take for example, ME & YOU.
Are we GOOD people? Are we GIVING people? If we had the love and money to GIVE to make our relationships and this world a better place then isn't it up to US to TRY to do what's RIGHT?!?!

If we had MORE money couldn't we give it to those in need MORE?! If we thought sex was beautiful rather than shameful wouldn't it be easier to love?! ( & Yes y'all, 5 love languages includes this )

What if MORE good people could give more time, energy, love and money towards bettering the world?
Supporting organizations, stopping sex trafficking & feeding the hungry? Would it help save marriages when there wasn't shame around the way we looked at sex or our bodies?!

Anyhow, no I don't have this all figured out but a few things are certain in my life. I AM a good person and because of the better relationship that I now have with sex and money I am kinder and more loving to myself & those around me.

If you need to dig deep in these subjects too then do it. We CAN see other perspectives and tbh I feel MORE worthy to have love and money in my life NOW more than ever. I hope you see you are worthy for these things too.

Rest and Repair

Rest and repair is just as important as hustle and hard work. I don't know about you but there's a feeling of fulfillment when you work hard AND you put in the time to STOP and fill Your cup.

It's like the reward is greater bc of the hard difficult work you put in FIRST....

Kinda like a hot shower after a hard workout.
Or an AMAZINGLY RIGHT relationship after a TOUGH & WRONG One.
Or finding a career path that fulfills you rather than drains you.

It's taken me YEARS to create this kind of life, but I would def do it all over. Including the mistakes I made, because I learned as I went. I failed forward and didn't short cut and shy away from the hard.

I'm leaning in and learning as I go. I hope you are too. Step into who you are always meant to become rather than dreaming of something better. Do it for you NOW. Your future self, your past self...and for the lives you will change along the way.

If you have been watching me for a few years you might know that I'm an Online Coach and I help teach people to do EXACTLY this. Have you ever thought about helping people get healthier and working for yourself?!!?

Being the fitness rebel I am, I was ALWAYS looking for this, but just doubted myself too much. It took me almost 2 years before I did this....but while I waited I watched those crushing it and I went from jealousy and envy to inspiration and curiosity. If that's you then let's have a conversation. Because working for yourself and figuring things out does NOT have to be a lonely gig. I gotchu babe.

My Right Arm

Sometimes I don't have the most motivated words and I'm just gonna say it like I see it....I really need to stop taking selfies with flexing only my right arm.

Clearly my left is not as defined so here's my left arm. And I'm still gonna give it love bc gosh darn it, it still tries. PS, speaking of not having a balanced body my left femur is a little longer than my right which affects my running, but gives me cool swagger if I do say so myself.

I have one eye that opens wider than the other. But that reminds me of my brother and I think it's a fun trait we have in common. And if I think about it I can name hundreds of things WRONG with me...but ya know what’s RIGHT about it all!?!?

I love my imbalanced imperfect body. We aren't meant to be perfect, but we are meant to love ourselves and NOT judge ourselves. I did that for YEARS with overtraining, binge eating, lack of sleep & decades of nail biting which basically showed my body how much I hated it.

Not no mo!!!!! I love it and I love the imperfections. And I hope we ALL stop judging ourselves and start embracing WHO WE ARE inside and out. That’s TRUE health people. When we show our bodies love we START treating it right.

What’s an "imperfection" you love about you!?!?! I wanna know, come on, let's start a brag board

Take a Chance on You

Reflecting back these last few months I realize something ...if I didn't take a chance on myself I would have had to miss out on people, places and experiences that bring me joy.

Ya see you aren't going to be able to achieve NEW experiences in life if you decide to NOT take chances.

We legit ALL have fears of failing in front of others but we also have a small amount of hope in the unknown & the "what ifs"....

So ask yourself...

"What if I truly loved who I am...how would I take care of myself better?"

"What if I start that Online Business & stay true to my word with the time I say I will put into it?"

"What if I ask for the help I need instead of letting my ego and assumptions of others cloud my judgment?"

"What if I could provide more for the people I love?"

"What if I succeeded?"

What would ALL that really look like for you? What it FEEL like? Sit in those thoughts for a bit because God doesn't give us dreams if He thought we couldn't achieve them. #mondaymotivation #sweatwithsarah #healthyandwealthycoaching

Unplugged

127222261_10102420461233652_8686299113902417609_o.jpg

Hi friends, wanted to check in since it's been a few days. I needed to take some self care days, which means I'm still pushing play on my workouts but I wasn't as active online. Ya know something that's helped me, but also seems counter intuitive to my work...is UNPLUGGING.FROM THE SOCIALS.

Seriously I have NO notifications set on my phone and some of my closest friends even joke about how hard it is to get ahold of me but I do this for OWN mental health.

If I was always available to everyone else that means I'm never available to my own needs. Ya feel me on this?!

If you do, then I want you to take this as a reminder to take time for YOU. The holidays can be rough for ALOT of us...and even more now than ever so think about what brings YOU joy and make time for that. Trust me on this.

Sending you love and thanks for being my friend. Even if I don't always reply quickly

Perfection is Never the Goal

Perfection is never the goal. Showing up is. And guys, this week is supposed to be the last week of my Virtual 5k and strength program but I'm not on that week...and that's ok.

With travel I knew I was going to fall behind but the thing is I decided not to beat myself up. Instead I STILL pushed play 5 out of 7 days with workouts that STILL pushed me and I'm happy with that.

Look at this week as looking for the positives you can control. I'm just glad I have my Sweatflix I can rely on and choose from 1440+ workouts....because that's what I'm going to do until I start a program on Dec 7th. Ya know you are always invited to join me in case you might need that extra self care this time of year too

Proud of You, Coaches!

126898581_10102414521222482_1780962465301499774_o.jpg

Coaches... I'm so proud of you ALL.

Every week day at 10am I hop on a zoom & some of us workout together and some of us work, catching up on emails, scheduling posts etc....

Well today one of our Coaches shared her story of how she was able to inspire someone who saw her posts & reached out to her asking for help and it made my heart grow 5x. ...because yes, it's hard putting our vulnerabilities out there but people NEED to hear our stories of struggle & HOW we are overcoming it.

It's what makes us REAL & RELATEABLE....& guys something INCREDIBLE happens when you do that.

You find your tribe. You find your family & the support system we ALL want & need.

I don't talk enough about what this Coach tribe means to me, but there's a reason I'm drinking my coffee and STILL showing up to work while on vacay...

BECAUSE I FREAKING LOVE THIS COMMUNITY & I finally know what this means..."Find something you love and you never really work a day in your life."

If you are looking for something like this, never hesitate to reach out. This could be EXACTLY what you are looking for. Don't defend excuses that you really don't want to define your life. Instead let your dreams design your life. You CAN do this too. We are NO DIFFERENT.
