Over-Training

Truth moment....I used to look at exercise like a punishment for over-eating so I would spend hours on the treadmill in my teens. It then transitioned to binge eating and using my scale EVERY TIME I went to the bathroom.....ummmm yea, definitely not healthy.....then it turned into teaching SOOOO many fitness classes that I could literally eat like crap and I wouldn't really gain weight....but my joints were sore, I didn't sleep well and I felt TERRIBLE ALL THE TIME. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Then something clicked....not something.....but COACHING Clicked. I realized I was so fake on the inside and if I wanted to ACTUALLY help others then I needed to HELP MYSELF FIRST. So I cut back teaching fitness classes because overtraining IS dangerous yo......And I started committing to drinking more water, eating more veggies, and more sleep....OH THE GLORIOUS SLEEPS.😍 and I also checked in with my workouts..πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ’β€β™€οΈand.... Well, there's still times I question if I'm doing ENOUGH because I'm into Week #7 of my lifting program and to be honest with you I was worried going from a one hour workout 6 days a week to a 35 minute workout 4 days a week would mean losing my strength and muscle mass.......NOPE! Seems that my body enjoys the rest and carbs....and I'm not giving up either ✊✊✊

Love and Be Loved

Something to ponder today πŸ‘‰ Always assume people are doing their best. Even if deep down you think..."yea, they could be doing better"... No really, we do NOT know what everyone's life experiences from every moment of their lives have been.

When it comes to whether that person makes time for you or does something that hurts you, we still can not judge. When we judge them we think that gives us power over them. When we judge them that mean means we think we are better than them. And that's not our place, nor will it ever be. So stop judging. Stop letting your emotions of only seeing the world one sided get in the way your own happiness. Our perspective is always OUR OWN.

While we might try to understand and "fix" the problems of others...we just can't. It's a waste of time to try to "change" someone. Instead, treat them with kindness. Always. 

We are a mirror in this world and when we reflect light and kindness and don't judge then eventually we are shown that back and THAT, my friends.... is a very optimistic happy life. But it starts and ends with YOU and how you decide to treat others πŸ’•πŸ’–πŸ’•#loveandbeloved

The Power of Guilt

Alright ya'll. I'm starting to believe in the power of guilt πŸ˜‚ Yesterday when I said I was NOT going to snooze and NOT charge my phone in my bedroom anymore...well it worked!!! I thought about not doing doing it, then guilt came over me and I knew I would not only let myself down but I was also proving to you that I am NOT true to my word. 

Me TRYING was not working. See earlier post πŸ˜‰Accountability though.... well that's a whole other level that helped me get up this morning. So thanks!!

I know "new-ness" of any idea gets old pretty quick so I'm doing this regularly and remembering WHY this is important. I love my sleep but really I don't want to sleep through life. I've got big goals and dreams and just because I have sucked at getting up earlier in the past doesn't mean that I can't change and reach this goal. I'm a Coach and one things for sure in Coaching ......most people don't WANT to do things that we need to do in order to reach goals but those that REALLY want this do it anyway because we know the outcome is worth the struggle EVERY TIME!!!! Also coffee...coffee is worth the struggle every time. πŸ˜β˜•

Trying is Lying

A few things have been sticking out to me in my PD(personal development) lately....
#1 I SHOULD NOT HAVE MY PHONE IN THE BEDROOM WHEN I GO TO BED and....
#2 I SHOULD NOT KEEP SNOOZING!!!

To be perfectly honest this is day 3 of me "trying" those things....but we all know what TRYING means....it means not giving our ABSOLUTE BEST EFFORT....so yea, Trying is basically Lying πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ 
.
So here it is... I'm saying that I'm not TRYING this anymore. Instead I'm DOING the DARN THING!!!!

Happy Monday friend!!! Today I hope to encourage you to live in happiness and gratefulness because it's not Happy people who have it all...it's people who choose to be grateful for what they already have who are the happiest. 

Today I'm grateful for family I get to see often. Today I'm grateful for a job I love. Today I'm grateful for the chances I've taken to get to where I am. Today I'm thankful I search out and see the positive in situations and not listening to my negative self limiting beliefs.

Over-Trainer

Coming from a recovering OVER-TRAINER....do NOT push your body SO HARD day after day that your body CAN'T recover!🀚🀚 I was reminded of my own physical limits this weekend and I'm so thankful that I CAN have recovery time. Because that wasn't always the case...
.
When I was teaching 15+ classes a week I was NOT treating my body right. All the while I was eating a lot of food to try to make up for it. (And let's be real. I really freakin love foodπŸ˜πŸ˜‚) I THOUGHT I was doing OK because "Yea....I "LOOKED" fit....so I must "BE" fit, right!!?!?!?

It wasn't until I started REALLY listening to my body that I realized I was doing WAY MORE HARM THAN GOOD. So things needed to change. I stopped teaching as much, but I have to be honest....a year and a half ago when I stopped teaching that many classes I was worried about 2 things...
πŸ‘‰#1 how the heck am I going to stay fit! ..because my body is used to sweating so much...and..
πŸ‘‰#2 the food!?!?! Will I still be able to eat!!?!??!!

The answer is YES. We CAN train less and YES we CAN eat and YES we CAN get results!!!! I work out now 4-5 days a week....30-40 min each day!!!!! I'm AMAZED at what my body CAN do when I treat it right. Do you need to start treating your body right too?!?!πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ’β€β™€οΈ Because you AREN'T ALONE!!!! I used to base my decisions on how I felt in that moment....and guess what!?!!?! It didn't get me where I wanted to be....Are you FEELING a little TOO much?!?!πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ€”

95% of decisions are made with our feelings. 
So should you ask yourself ....
πŸ‘‰ Do I FEEL like starting a side business?
πŸ‘‰ Do I FEEL like getting up and working out?
πŸ‘‰ Do I FEEL like stepping outside my comfort zone and asking for a raise?
πŸ‘‰ Do I feel like bringing up that conversation with that person who continues to hurt me?

The answer is most likely NO...YOU (95% of the time) dont FEEL like doing ANY of those things!!!!! So stop asking yourself how you FEEL about these questions. Because guess what!?!!? We don't FEEL like doing much...that's NATURAL. There's nothing wrong with you. It's human nature. But if you ACTUALLY want a better life then you need to stop listening to feelings. 

So HOW do you develop habits to have enough motivation to overcome FEELINGS??? You do it by thinking of the outcome when you FINNISH those tasks. EVERYDAY. And do NOT say ....tomorrow I will FEEL like starting this....Next month I will FEEL ready to take my health more seriously... Next year I Feel I will have more time to take that on...

βœ‹βœ‹βœ‹stop FEELING....✊✊✊start DOING. Fear and Feelings are what's holding you back. Planning and Action will propel you forward. Write down what you want. Make a list of ACTIONS to get there. And start TODAY. you won't FEEL ready...EVER. SO GET OVER IT. and do the darn thing. RIGHT NOW. βœŠβœŠ
