I think a lot of people think that the healthy life means sacrifice and not allowing yourself good things. But in reality you should "over crowd" your day with positive choices that way there is little time or space left for negative choices.

Think about it. ALL things we do come from a choice.

πIts a choice to disengage in gossip and bring up a positive convo.
πIts a choice to pile veggies in your plate and over crowd the pasta and unnecessary carbs.
πIts a choice to choose to go on a walk with a friend rather than have a big lunch.
πIts a choice to reach out to someone who inspires you. And learn from them.
πIts a choice to split the dessert, rather than have regrets later.
πIts a choice to do the "harder" thing NOW that way life will be easier years from now.

Focus in the choice and ALWAYS weigh the outcome. Is it worth it? Well that's up to youπ

Good day for coffee and chillin" with the cat. βπβEddie is in Nashville this weekend celebrating his 300th episode on the Podcast, Married to the Games. It makes me so happy that he's got awesome guy friends from all over the world to be able to meet up and hang with.
I thought about going but it's so important for us to have time also apart. Don't get me wrong I love my man to the moon and back but we don't MAKE each other go to things we don't really want to go to. You won't see him at Coach Summit or the Zumba Convention.....because I love him too much to MAKE him do things. Seriously, I think that's what makes our relationship easy. When you are married to the right person you feel free and you are able to be the best version of you and you don't expect or MAKE your loved ones do things. You love them. You respect them. You are thankful for them. You ask for help when it's needed. Relationships mirror themselves so practice the golden rule and you will be golden ππ #treatothersthewayyouwanttobetreated

For me I KNEW I knew I loved fitness when I started doing Tae Bo vhs tapes back when I homeschooled in 99... yep I was homeschooled that year just in case Y2K was gonna happen. We moved to the Ozarks to live off the land..."just in case" πππWell good news. We didnt die. And that year I was pretty lonely....my brothers could only handle so many hours of playing Dutch Blitz with me soooooo I did a few Tae Bo workouts a day. It was the BEST. I'm thankful I had that year to realize hiw much I loved Fitness...and Shelly Blanks ππ

Fast forward 9 years to 2008 I was asked to get licensed in Zumba and my first class WAS my training! I fell in love with the people, the music and every class I taught after was more fun than the last......Then in 2014 I became an Online Coach while shooting the dvds for Insanity Max:30. Shaun and the cast taught me to dream bigger, take risks go and go after EVERY dream. As I look back at those pivotal moments in my life I realize that YES I should ALWAYS be learning from people who inspire me and YES I AM enough and worthy enough to have a purpose filled driven life. I will say YES to opportunities that teach me to grow and push past my fears EVERYDAY.

Better Starts Today
Drive and determination will overcome MORE OVER TIME than Talent ever will. Stop comparing yourself to someone who has talent. What do you want to become better at!? What do you want to become successful at?
Write it down. Schedule it and KNOW that
Success lies in the small simple tasks done OVER AND OVER. Success happens when we MAKE THE DECISION to show up and realizing that if I miss One day, then I miss EVERYDAY &The way I do one thing is the way I do everything. I'm committed or I'm not. There's NO MIDDLE.
So ask yourself.....Do I schedule MY success!?!?! Do I ACTUALLY make time for a BETTER life Or Do I give that time to my excuses!?!??
Start with ONE goal. RIGHT NOW. TODAY.
βBe a better friend......message or text or call a friend and check in on them.
βBe a better spouse....when's the last time you gave a foot rub? Yea. Do it.
βBe a better boss... ask to listen to the needs of others. Offer to help.
βBe a better employee. Do your best and ask yourself...would I hire me?
βBe better to YOURSELF....eat better foods so your body is able to perform better. Get enough rest and Workout 30 min a day.
βBecome BETTER at something you are PASSIONATE about. You do that by learning from someone who Is BETTER at that passion. Watch them. Ask HOW. And make time for that passion EVERYDAY.
OUR BETTER DOESN'T WAIT UNTIL MONDAY. IT STARTS TODAY.

Seriously, as you push yourself to become better in ANY WAY, I want you to know I'M PROUD OF YOU. Yea, you probabaly don't hear it enough. But I am. Because I know how it feels to struggle. To face fears. To stop judging others. To stop judging yourself. You have to get through that mountain of pain to become victorious on the other side. And if you quit now, all this TRYING will have been for nothing. So don't give up. I'm watching and I have faith in you. I just thought you needed to hear it today. πππ

These 2 quotes have really stuck out to me lately. I can see how both can be true but I know the first quote is what MOST of us believe in.
Just a few years ago I was waiting for things to happen. I wasn't showing up to my Best life.
I just want to yell to my younger self ..."Oh Ye of little Faith! What are you doing!? You have Faith in what IS because you see it, but no Faith in what CAN and Could Be. Turn it around and imagine your BEST life. Give yourself permission to live and love life. Take risks. Go after dreams. Don't listen to the Naysayers. They aren't paying your bills or heloing to build your dreams! Get up and live a life you are proud of. This life is a gift. Treat yourself and others with love. And Remember that goals are reached and dreams are made real by FIRST imagining it. Always believe it and you WILL see it. πππ I'm here to help if you need someone rooting for youββ
Ask for Help
No one knows YOUR expectations. We are all so busy worrying about our OWN lives and we get so caught up in the business to notice the needs of others. Sounds selfish, but its true. Both is true for ourselves and the people around us.

It's time to stop and ask yourself. Am I happy!? Are my own needs being met. If not, how could they be met!? .....
Then this crucial next step is often overlooked πππASK FOR HELP! It might come easier to me because I speak my mind (probably too often π) but something I realized in most relationships is one person feels weighted down by all that needs to he done. This giver CONTINUES to give and they are EXPECTING others to give back.

Well get out of your OWN way Giver. If you seem happy then people think that you ARE happy. Stop sabatogueing yourself by NEVER ASKING FOR HELP!!!!! I was this way until I realized I was acting like a little kid in the corner. I was there because I was in trouble but in my thought pocess when I was told I could leave the corner I said NO! I'M STAYING HERE! ....and to think I was actually trying to teach my parents a lesson by staying there. πππ Little did I know that that was not the case. My stubbornness to show I was right and thinking..."I'll just stay and wallow in my anger and sadness would prove them wrong".....was, well...actually WRONG. As an adult I can now see how this story affected my stubborn actions thoughout life. If I was taking on too much and not asking for help and getting angry at everyone then I was acting like that child in the corner and trying to prove a POUNTLESS point.

Put away your expectations and get REALLY CLEAR in what you need then put your ego aside, step put of the corner π and ask...Can you help me by cleaning the kithen today?
Can you help me with this project? I could really use yiur expertise.
Can we have a date night this week? I would love some quality time with you. Can you help with me with dinner? Can I talk to you about a raise? Can I take Thanksgiving week off from work? I need some family time.

Just Eat Healthy
Happy Monday friends! I think you know by now that I'm all about eating and not "dieting". I don't believe in starving or cutting out entire food groups or think you have to live that way to become healthy. What I do believe in is adding to your diet. I find that most people are mal nourished.
Next time when you reach for a salty or high sugar or high fat food it is most likely because your body is trying to tell you something.

Tip- we are trapped by having unhealthy options too readily available. Instead we MUST set ourselves up for success. Ask yoursrlf? Am I really hungry or am I actually thirsty? Have I had enough water yet today? Most likely, no. Still hungry? Have a plan! Are there salad options at most places? Ummmm yes. Do you really want that burger!? Get a protien on the side then! And ask to share a small order of frys if you really "need" it.

Over time you WILL start to crave the betrer good options, but it takes time and practice. If we crave fast food then we have trained our brains to think we NEED it. Well we don't. We never will. Don't get me wrong 2x. A week I'm getting a burger or a treat...and that works for me. I'm not saying give it up...diet...fast...etc. what I'm saying is ADD nutrient dense foods to your eating plan. Feeling better, having better digestion and more energy is on the other side if this. Now isn't that healthier life worth it!?! πππ
Freedom
When people ask me what the perks are to my online job the FIRST word I think of is FREEDOM...
πFREEDOM to work/workout on my own time... even after a 9 hour drive I was able to workout and press PLAY and get a sweat sesh in.
πFREEDOM for me and Eddie to pick up and go to our friends wedding this last week and visit friends along the way.
πFREEDOM we got 2 years into this business to replace both our incomes JUST by helping people become healthier.
πFREEDOM of never having a BOSS again.
πFREEDOM to DREAM bigger than I ever imagined possible.
πFREEDOM to help people WITHOUT having to go back to college to get a degree in Exercise Science or Nutrition.

Yea those are some pretty awesome perks. And I'm SO GLAD I convinced myself to try this.
