Needed a brain break from studying to update my drivers licence

Healthy and No Work
Ya ever look at healthy food pics and think..."I should eat that. But I don't want to put in the work."??

Well you aren't alone. I STILL think that. I would buy veggies and think THIS TIME WILL BE DIFFERENT!!!!! And alas it's STILL A struggle. But I will tell ya one thing that's helped me. Talking to myself as if I was a Child and my more mature healthier smarter and better looking self was giving me words of advice. Because lets face it...... I'm a rebel and always will be. I don't like people telling me what to do(that's why I work for myself) but FOR SOME REASON when I talk to myself this way then I listen. Does that make sense? Am I cray!? ......Dont answer that. πππ

Anyway my convo usually goes something like this...
"Sarah, you are a freaking Adult!!!! You CAN eat better. But WILL YOU!? Will you get up, shop for what you ALREADY KNOW you should eat or will you just sit there scrolling pics of recipes you will never try!? π€¦π€¦π€¦
....
So I listen. And I run to the grocery stores.... then the next battle starts...
...
"SARAH!!!!! Remember you bought those veggies!??! And now they are starting to brown because you are TOO LAZY to cut them up!? Like for realz. What a freaking waste. You are blessed beyond measure to be able to go to a store, to afford to buy that food...then you are gonna let it go to waste!? What the freak!?!?! π€·π€·π€·

After that I do get up, go the kitchen & take 5 min to make a salad and remember that my LAZY brain is always trying to sabatoge me. I feel so guilty admitting all of this but maybe if you are the same then try it. And ALSO write it down. Then read it aloud. It's like an "I love you enough to put you in your place" kinda love note to yourself π I hope it helps you too!!!!!

I have NOT always been fit on both the inside and the outside. I starved myself for years, and If I weighed more than my goal I wouldn't eat. I finally threw my scale out 7 years ago and accepted and loved my body exactly where I was already at.

My attitude needed to be adjusted in order to succeed. I had to LOVE who I was and start treating my body RIGHT. I now understand that eating healthy and exercising is not PUNUSHMENT. I do this NOT because I HATE my body. I do it because I LOVE MYSELF. I hope you choose to love who you are RIGHT NOW & EVERYDAYπππππ
Faith, Not Fear
I've always loved this saying because it reminds me of ALL the people, places and things I've experienced in my life and it was ONLY because I chose to live my life in FAITH and not FEAR.
I didn't always choose Faith though. I was SO fearful as a child. I avoided going ANYWHERE by myself because of this fear. And while some 'warnings' were given to me to protect me it actually started to make me feel like a victim in a negative dark world. But as I grew up I, began to realize that I was so fearful because I convinced myself of the negative outcomes that would happen.
Too many times I judged others because what I believed to be truth was actually my own preconceived false truths. I told myself stories of how I would fail. I told myself lies about how others would judge me. I was insecure, blinded and built my own prison from this negativity.
This saying 'Faith Over Fear' kept reminding to ask myself- "Am I LIVING with Faith over Fear? Does my life mirror that belief?"
I wanted a happier, loving & more fulfilled life. If I wanted to live this fulfilled life I had to search it out - I knew it would not just come to me. And if I DIDN'T take action then I knew I would miss SO MANY wonderful experiences and relationships and adventures by living in fear.
Slowly but surely I re-wrote my story and knew that my life would look very different in 5, 10 - 50 years when I continued to choose FAITH over my FEARS. I started talking to myself more positively. I avoided drama and gossip. I searched out people who actively lived this FAITH over FEAR life and I learned from them.
I also have a few reminders that have helped me along the way and I hope they encourage you today, tomorrow and the next 50 years to have a FAITH driven life rather than a life full of fear.
πGod created ALL people & they are ALL meant to be loved- not feared and hated for who they are or what they believe.
πYou have to make YOUR OWN choices in life. Do not be quick to judge. Do not base your choices and actions on what others do TO YOU. When you are faced with conflict always choose love.
πGod created you to find your passion and live and love life. It will take you many tries and failures before you 'figure it out' but know that these 'failures' lead you to success. Rome...and Beyonce weren't built in a day. π
πWhen you judge others it's only because you are insecure- in what ways can you improve YOURSELF so you aren't always living in comparison?
πWhen making a big decision, ask yourself- 'Will thinking like this or making this decision place me outside of my comfort zone so I can have a chance to learn and grow?'
πWhen this life comes to an end, will you have lived it fully or not? Everyday decisions will determine this outcome. SO MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT!!!!
Sweat!
What the heck!? I start dancing and 4 min in I'm sweating like a pig. I once thought I would grow out of it....not the case. I was always that SWEATY kid at chuckie cheese that the parents looked at like...."glad that's not MY kidπ" ...How bout you!? Have you always been that kid?! Decided to add some avocado to my burger. Definitely a good idea. What's your favorite "extra" you like to add to a burger?

The Bloat
You would think after being sick yesterday and only drinking half my shake and eating 1 apple (bc thats all I could keep down all day) this bloat would be gone. It's not. I'm SOOO ready to get back on track. πππ

I know it's only been a day but I took for granted the way I felt on the inside and the energy I had then I thought about how some people feel like this EVERYDAY. And that SUCKS.

Trust me, there is a better way to live. Health is a choice and I'm getting back on my meal plan, drinking more water and starting my workout again today. Is it hard to make time to be healthy or is it hard to feel like crap?!?! We choose our hard and to me I'd much rather feel amazing. πππHands up if you agree!!!
Bleccccchhhh
I was doing sooooo good in my fresh foods challenge then today happened. π€’π€’π€’ Yep, pretty sure I got food poisoning.....my first guess I would get sick from Chinese take out was the fact that NO ONE was wearing gloves. I even joked to Eddie about it!!!! Well Guess I won't be going back anytime soon. #lessonlearned Enjoy this little guide to cleaning you're gut I found in the meantimeπ I think its helping!!!!

Here I Cut up and cooked some brussel sprouts in olive oil for a few min, added eggs and garlic pepper and salt. Then laid on a bed of kale then added some of my fav veggies. Here I added tomatoes, cucumbers avocados. Oh em word.....SO GOOD!!! Now go stock your fridge and Eat your veggies, bc they ARE amazing and GREAT for your gut!!!!#eatclean #absaremadeinthekitchen#thesweatlifewithsarah
