I Had to Stop
Maybe stopping something bad, means enough room for starting something good.
When it comes to health, relationships and business there were many STOPS of negative behaviors I had to overcome and many things that I had to lose before I could gain what I was so wanting for my life.
I had to STOP the people pleasing in order to gain success in my own business.
I had to STOP the punishing behavior of overtraining whenever I binge-emotionally ate and instead started journaling my feelings and my food habits. I also followed a program that allowed me to become stronger inside and out.
I had to STOP the negative self talk in order to uplift myself enough to gain the confidence to say YES to learning and growing and stepping outside my comfort zone.
I need to tell ya, this journey did NOT happen overnight. It's been years in the making and the reasons for change and the consistency of continuing to show up is 100% mindset. It takes just 5 seconds to really STOP and be in the moment NOW and ask yourself...
"Am what I'm doing (or about to do) bring me closer or further away from the life I want to have?
"Do I really want that dessert because I'm emotionally reaching for it, or do I just want one serving and that will suffice?"
"Should I say no to spending time with this person or do I usually feel drained after we hang? Maybe I should limit that friend time."
"Do I really need to watch this neflix show from the couch or could I organize my closet while I watch this?"
"Should I play some music on my way to work or should I play that audible app on my phone that focuses more on improving my mindset?"
Always remember growth is self awareness and self awareness is growth. Stop rushing and being in REACT mode. After all, it's your life and its filled with about 50,0000 thoughts. Decide to make some of those thoughts intentional and you will realize you DO have more control in your own life than you thought you had.
