What is Fear Doing to You?
Is your FEAR fooling you or protecting you?
Guys, FOR YEARS I remember thinking it was EASIER to stay in a sucky place than it was to make a change even if I KNEW it would be better getting to the other side.
Having FEAR is NOT a bad thing, but we MUST be able to discern whether our fear is out of self preservation or is it keeping us from the life we want? Because if you don't know the difference then you could be staying in the SUCK for too long.
This can relate to a past relationship and having hives and rashes on my arms and feeling like I SHOULD stay even when my anxiety was insane.
This can relate to my first Team Call where I was the speaker and I had a panic attack and had to stop.
This can relate to hanging on to my studio even though I was going into debt because I didn't want to let other people down.
ALL these circumstances have ONE common factor ππ½Fear of letting others down. I let this fear run my life and sometimes it still does, but I recognize it and I have to ask myself if this FEAR is something to help me GROW or is it a FEAR that is only holding me back from the life I really want.
So ask yourself, when you feel those FEAR emotions, is your body trying to tell you something to avoid because of safety or is it tricking you to stay in the suck?
One thing that's helped me figure this out is thinking of the end result in mind. "If I choose to STAY and LEARN, what can be the outcome? What do I need to do to improve?" ...OR...."If I choose to find a new path what opportunities can arise from it, & how do I not repeat this, what can I learn from this?" & "Who do I need to learn from?"
Whatever your FEAR is don't let it hold you back. Fear ALWAYS starts in our body and it can easily trick you into thinking it is easier to NOT face your struggle and to stay the same than it is to , learn, grow and change.
So I urge you to sit with it. FEEL it and ask yourself if you are truly in danger or is this just stepping outside your comfort zone? Because YES you can get to the other side, but you cannot let FEAR control your decision. βπΌ #yougotthis
