Top 5 Tips for the Holidays

Soooo, it's the holiday season! Remember it CAN be fun and full of memories and freaking great food, you just have to be prepared! Have you ever heard that saying "Fail to Plan; Plan to Fail."?! Well this email will help you PLAN FOR SUCCESS!

I wanted to give you a few tips on HOW to Plan & Prepare for success whether you have a get together or you are gonna be chilling at home this year!

  • Tip #1 STAY HYDRATED!!
    I have a favorite water bottle I carry with me EVERYWHERE. I try to fill it up 3-4x a day and aim for at least 1/2 my body weight in ounces (more if I sweat that day). I also set alarms to 'drink more!'

    Do you have a fav? If not, HERE'S ONE!!! It's stainless steel so you can add an ESSENTIAL OIL ( I prefer a LEMON - so so good!)

  • TIP #2 GET YO MIND RIGHT!!!
    I don't know about you but I freaking LOVE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT!!!! It's seriously changed MUHH LIFE!!!! I listen to Audiobooks almost EVERY DAY and if I didn't have it, I KNOW I would let negative thoughts rule my day. Do you struggle with positive thinking? Mood swings? Feelings of not enough-ness?' I SOOO did. So here are my TOP 10 from 2019 for ya!!!!

  • TIP #3 STAY MOVING!
    You knew I was gonna include this one, right!? OF COURSE!!!!

  • TIP #4 Be PREPAAAARREEEDDD!!!
    ....like the song in Lion King ;) Have you seen the new animation movie?! So good. But that's not what I'm talking about.

    I mean Be Prepared when it comes to your food!!! I often bring a healthy salad to every family get together because I KNOW I can fill my plate with veggies so I am not as tempted to go cray on all the high (unhealthy) fat & carb-loaded empty calorie foods.

    Aim for 5-10 veggies and make your own dressing! Here's an amazingly tasty and healthy avocado dressing recipe.

  • TIP #5 GET YOUR ZEEEEE'S
    I have quite a few clients who do ALL the right things; mindset, movement, enough water & healthy nutrition...but they don't see results because they are NOT getting enough rest!!!

    So my tip for those of you getting 6 or less hours a night: Plug in your phone right outside your bedroom door, or on a dresser far away so you aren't distracted! EVERY NIGHT!!! And when your alarm goes off DO NOT SNOOZE!!! This throws off your brain and the reason you are in a brain 'fog' in the mornings is because when you hit that snooze your brain resets for sleep and is set to get back to get to that REM CYCLE!!!! If you don't believe me pick up that book I mentioned THE 5 SECOND RULE. It will change YOUR LIFE!!
