It seriously Feels good to have a plan and to stick with it. Sure I might be an instructor and teach my own Virtual and in person Fitness classes but for my OWN workouts I LOVE following a program. I don't have to think about anything else but my own body and form....
It takes me back to when I was a kid and loving Tae Bo and Denise Austin vids. I've heard people say they can't workout at home....and is it you physically CAN'T or you just WON'T!? π€ When you find you can fit FITNESS in anwhere ANYTIME, then it's EASIER to stick to your goals. So have a plan....and a back up plan π Then there are less excuses to stop you. In the House
If there's nothing in my house but veggies.....then I tend to eat my veggies βπΌ and if there were doritos I would eat them too....so that's why I just can't buy those "snacks". I know my weaknesses and self control is NOT one of my strengths π I'm not saying you need to have self control to be healthy(again. I don't have itππ½ββοΈ)....but what helps me is NOT buying the junk. Let me take ya back about a decade....
I started sharing my passion for Zumba and choreography on YT about 10 years ago. Ya wanna know what sucks about YT!?!?! THE FRICKIN DISLIKE BUTTON!!!!! lol, too many times I would have more thumbs downs than thumbs up, like for reals people.... but something inside me said "KEEP GOING". and I went from shy, chewing gum not smiling on camera to...still awkward π€£πbut not caring what others think....and ya know that's been the MOST FREEING part of this journey!!!!! I was able to meet so many people, have so many awesome experiences and live my BEST life because I did NOT let fear or failure or rejection get in my way. I'm not saying its easy, but I'm saying ITS.SO.WORTH.IT.
I hear from others who are scared or even confused on how to achieve goals...they might say to me "I want to be a size 6" or "I want to have a successful fitness business" and my answer to them would be to do 3 things.....

#3 Now write down if your BEST (#10) self showed up that day and HOW would they plan and ACT on their goals? What would they do to end the day, month and year at level 10????? Because that's how YOU must act. Sure you won't be motivated to be a 10 everyday but if you start ACTING THE PART, then trust me. You WILL get there. And it's a journey you guys. I'm not where I want to be. But I'm freaking thankful that I'm allowing my BEST SELF to show up more often than my MEAN GIRL. Lets make 2019 the BEST yet, shall we!!?!??!!#mindsetreset

Wanna know HOW to stay consistent to your goals!?!?! Take ridic selfies errrrrday and share with the world π€£βπΌ No but seriously hear me out...... And third, Am I living a PURPOSEFUL & driven life by loving myself and others or am I complaining about my circumstances and the people that frustrate me?!?!?!
Only YOU can answer these questions, but trust me, When you live in your truth you will know it by the love you have for yourself and others. Time will pass regardless so if you want to be happy, healthy and successful ya gotta get some clarity on how.

Last Workout
LAST WORKOUT OF 2018 DONE!!!!!!! Ya ready to go into 2019!?!?!?? For New Years Goals, don't make a resolution. Make a LIFESTYLE Change. Life is like being on an escalator, you have to keep trying, learning and growing...otherwise you hit the bottom and have to start all over again..and again...and again. So with this in mind going forward...
#1 Understand that past "failures" have NOT determined your future. Let go and forgive yourself. The only way to move forward is to truly love and forgive yourself and others. No one is perfect. And that's not the goal here. Healthier and happier and more loving towards ourself and others.....That's our goal. π
#2 Find an accountability buddy or group and check in.βπΌβπΌβπΌ And remember on days you feel great > workout, eat 85% clean and practice self care & gratitude. On days you don't feel great > workout (Unless you are throwing up, then go to the doc) eat 85% clean and practice self care and gratitude.
You won't FEEL like hitting your goals 3 months from now. 70% of people will quit. If you don't want that to be you then you have to tell that negative voice.." Another Incredible Year
Thanks for another INCREDIBLE year friends...Yep, I'm all about reflecting today....π¦π 2018 I said I would create my own Joy and be more present. Looking back on this year I can say I came pretty close(well not all the time, but hey, nobody's perfect) ....I didn't put expectations on others like I did in years past and I didn't place all my happiness in future places and goals not yet met. Instead, I put my happiness in the HERE and NOW and I want to continue on this journey into 2019. Like I said about a week ago I picked the word "TRANSFORM" as my 2019 theme & I have YOU ALL to thank for this.
I wouldn't be where I am today without the beautiful loving, giving and supportive people that I'm blessed to know. So this is a huge thanks to my friends who have encouraged me to continue to grow and transform. So thanks guys. πππThe people from the Virtual Fit Clubs, Support groups, Zumba & Pound classes, Coach retreats & Conventions are all who lifted me up on days I felt down. You all continued to cheer me on. I know my job is to uplift others but it's YOU ALL Who make me want to do better. Each and every one of you have inspired me more than you could know. I know I'm blessed far more than I deserve and I will do my best to become a better friend, wife, fitness instructor & Coach. Love you guys. Happy New Year. πππ
OK to Freak Out
Its ok to have a freak out. Just don't quit!!!!!!!
I was talking to a friend about working any business (this also relates to health too) and the path to success is ALL the same. There must be an understanding of how important it is to show up and prove what you do or what you use WORKS. And it also got me thinking ...how many times do we see someone QUIT one thing to quickly go to another....then another...then another!?!?! Ya'll gotta commit to see success. I just wanna hug that person and say.....
YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY UNTIL YOU FIND HAPPINESS FIRST IN YOURSELF!!!!!! YOU MUST LOVE YOURSELF ENOUGH TO NOT QUIT!!!!!!
Because that newness in any business (or new health fix) is always there at the beginning. But what about greener pastures over there....π€πππ Or promises of better this...better that. I felt that way, sure...MANY A TIME, I felt pulled this way or that way, but then I realized it's not that what I do doesn't work as well, Its because I wasn't ALL IN. I didn't TRUST and BELIEVE in myself or Fully TRUST and BELIEVE in what I offered. I had to stop daydreaming about the WHAT IFS. And stop envying what I didn't have. And I found what I needed. It was always there. It was a Trust and Belief in MYSELF that I was enough. That I offered enough. That my company offered enough.....um MORE than enough. I HAD TO TRUST THE PROCESS. "DIG DEEP" as Shaun would say. All this to say YES, I'm still here and I'm not going anywhere. What I do works and it is working for so many others physically emotionally mentally and financially. I love being a Coach and Fitness instructor. I do it because I have faith in myself and I have faith in others to be successful also.
If you decide to build a business and/or start on a new healthy path then.... GO FOR IT. BE ALL IN. But don't go into with a part time mindset expecting a full time income and a 6pack. π Always remember anything worth having takes time, work, and learning more about becoming the BEST version of YOU. #neverstopgrowing#trusttheprocess
