You Are Enough
We all learn differently, but put in the effort and you CAN overcome. When I was in grade school I remember going to a private class because I was told I had hearing issues. Truth be told I had PAYING ATTENTION issues. π
It's something I've struggled with my whole life, but like I always say our struggle IS our strength because we are the fighters and we put in the effort to work harder and yes we may see more failures than others but that doesn't stop us from trying a new way to learn and succeed.
Whenever you feel like you AREN'T enough or you are NEVER going to hit that goal I want you to remember that the fact you ARE working harder shows that you are more resilient than you think! Always remember effort and hard work will run laps around talented lazy people.
Entrepreneurs see this EVERYDAY so if you want to know if you have what it takes then ask yourself...."Do I give up easily or do I try and fail forward day after day!!?!?!" And if you find yourself giving up then stop, regroup and ask yourself is this important to me enough to show up for? And WHY is this important!? If I don't do this, where will I be in 5 years? If I Do show up for this then where will this consistency take me in 5 years? Is it worth it?!?!?.........Well only you can answer that and I hope you NEVER again look at your disability or weakness as something holding you back. Because it's not. #youareenough
You Are in Control
Know this...
>>>You are in control<<
You are in control of your thoughts, actions and results.
And know THIS even more...
>>>failure is a HUGE part of this process<<<<<
I hope you take time to push yourself outside your comfort zone so much that you fail and you embrace that failure because you KNOW deep down that failure will help you become THAT PERSON who eventually overcomes your struggle.
Don't run from what's hard or "scary" ....face it head on. Face the fear and you will find your control and you will also find your BEST self looking back at you in the mirror telling you......"Iβm so glad you didn't give up on us."
Today Ima celebrate a little.... I worked my freakin butt off this week.... Not just in my workouts but also my business. I sent out OVER 250 messages to people this week interested on info about the 3 day detox I'm doing and on the freakin awesome 100 workout program that I'm launching a test group for in August.
Yes I understand it's summer and there's NO TIME FOR ANYTHING, but I want to say THANK YOU to the people out there I'm talking with. YOU are starting to see the VALUE of taking care of yourself. YOU are realizing what your future COULD look like and that FREAKIN EXCITES MEπππ....
.Also, Earlier today I was in tears about unwrapping the layers of our fears and insecurities with a few Coaches in a zoom call and we discussed how personal growth has changed us so much and I thought to myself How GRATEFUL I am to see people change from the inside out.
I hope that EVERYONE I talk to sees their value and potential and CELEBRATES themselves whether it's noticing you are being more kind to yourself or another, or you packed a healthier option for lunch or you made time to workout for 20 minutes or you took the next step at becoming an entrepreneur.
CELEBRATE EVERY DAY because this LIFE IS FULL OF BEAUTY and when we see it, embrace it and learn from it we CAN make ourselves and each other better. Have an awesome weekend guys. πππΌ
Allow Freedom
Arm day done!πͺπ₯ Time for superfoods smoothie, bagel and coffee.....in that order. π Yes I have those 3 things EVERYDAY because I believe in the 80/20 rule of eating. 80% REAL/HEALTHY Superfood type foods and 20% "treats".
I used to struggle with my diet SO much. But what I've learned over the years has helped me realize that YES, I DO have more control over what I eat and how I FEEL about food. To me, we shouldn't be "on a diet" type plan. Lifestyle changes that ALLOW freedom will help keep you from feeling like you are punished for having what you want. Letting food control you is having NO control at all but learning to listen to your body and see food differently will help you make better choices.
If it helps try keeping a food journal and ask yourself, am I just bored or am I thirsty? When you check in with your body MORE often then you start to eat more intuitively. Take it one meal at a time and you will get there! If ya ever need my help I'm always a message away too!!!
Have a great day friends π
Living the Dream
This pic was just taken but honestly this could be any time of day....
Most days we drink coffee, chat, play a game or watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine before starting our "work" and 5 years ago Eddie and I only dreamed of being able to work from home together. Now that it's happened I realize how fortunate we are.
5 + years ago Eddie was in radio and I was a full-time fitness instructor who was over-training more than I'd like to admit who also had a binge eating disorder. I had struggled for years with the scale and decided enough was enough......
Enter this little " Coaching Opportunity" which I dismissed for almost 2 years because I thought anything "online" meant a pyramid scheme...(which it's not btw π€£) I learned about business, nutrition, mindset and also helping MYSELF first so that I could be a better wife, coach, friend, fitness instructor....basically a better PERSON overall.
I had NO idea I would gain so much from Coaching but when you start to value yourself you also start to attract the RIGHT people who ALSO want a better future because deep down we know we ARE WORTH IT.
Even though it took me a few years to decide to go for it, I'm SO GRATEFUL that I did and I'm so happy Eddie is here along with me on OUR Coach journey.
If you are curious about what it is we actually do &how you might also want your life to look different in 5 years please fill out my Fit- Influencer/Coach App. ππ½https://tinyurl.com/y5kgnbg6
I'm here to work with the willing & go-getters who also have vision and want to create a life they love. ππΌ It's never too late to change the rest of your life.
The Goal
"I can do it on my own."
"I don't trust others, they are just gonna let me down anyway."
"They are being nice because they want something in return."
"I not happy for them, they don't deserve that."
"They are so fake."
All thoughts that ran through my head EVERY DAY until I decided to do something about it. That's when I realized that the reason I couldn't be happy for others was because I was NOT happy with myself.
Let me say that again.....
I wouldn't ALLOW myself to be happy for OTHERS was because I was NOT happy with MYSELF. We mirror what we feel. Not necessarily what actually IS.
Coaching taught me that and I'm so so grateful I decided to put fears aside and decide that I was NOT going to let envy or jealousy win. I was done living this double life. Sure, I was involved in health and fitness for years before I became a Coach but now I see WHY I was unhappy. Now I truly believe we can't lead others until we can lead ourselves FIRST.
No I'm not perfect and I still fail at times but perfection is not the end game....Happiness, gratefulness and cheering myself and others on, THAT'S the goal RIGHT NOW. TOMORROW AND FOREVER. Does your job encourage that!?!?! Coaching and Personal Growth has changed my life and I've seen it in our Team day after day and I couldn't be more proud. Thanks Team. Everyday you make me excited to be a Coach. πππ
Unplugged
Happy Sunday friends! This weekend was a good reminder to UNPLUG and realize that it's OK to not be attached to my phone or computer.
I know I'm guilty of working probably a little TOO MUCH because when you love what you do, ya don't want to stop!!! But that recharge is a MUST.
I talk about self care enough to know that I needed some time off. So instead of just saying it, I NEED to ACTUALLY DO IT! And funny thing, I have ZERO guilt about it and am really grateful I got to spend quality time with Eddie.
Oh and I need to brag because I NEVER win games against him, SOOOOOO just so y'all know I AM THE PHASE 10 CHAMPIIIOOOONNNNNNNN!!!!!! π€ͺπππππππ
Drop A Stress Size
If it's not your own thoughts or actions, then stop stressing.
Too often I STRRRUUUGGGGGLLLED with this until I finally GOT IT. We are given free will y'all and while sure some of us WISH we had control over people and what they did or didn't do...we have to realize we DON'T HAVE THAT CONTROL...and we actually have NEVER had that control, nor will we EVER....and thatβs A GOOD thing!!!!
I had to put my Control FREAKNESS to the side and realize that "want" to control outcomes was causing Waaaaayyyyy more stress than I needed. Instead, I looked at what I COULD do and what actions I should take. There's no room for blaming others when you are responsible for your OWN actions. When I took that ownership I had a HUGE weight lifted from my shoulders. I now see what I CAN control and I put that energy into what I was meant to do and guys, stressing is not worth the time. Drop the stress and you will lose the mess. ππΌ
Take Care of Yourself
Being weak is not a bad sign. It's a sign and knowing what your weakness is means you CAN get stronger. An area I needed to work on was my mindset & self care. I FINALLY took action recently.
Being the "YES, PEOPLE PLEASER" in me I found it hard at first because helping people filled my cup...right?!?!?! Well, I thought so until I really looked deep.
I had to be super honest and realize I was doing for others for approval, acceptance and making others happy thinking that would be mirrored back to me.
I didn't want to "rock the boat" as they say, so I was the nice one...to EVERYONE. But on the inside I was full of turmoil, resentment, tired ALL THE TIME & I felt I was pouring into people that no matter what I did, I couldn't help or encourage them enough.
I never felt fulfilled or saw the work come to fruition so I got angry, cried for no reason at times and felt bitter. NOT a good place to be. Even writing this I feel like I'm whining. Sorry if it comes across that way.
I digress, I have a point, I promise, because I FINALLY feel I'm coming out on the other side of this so I thought I would share what's helped me THE most and that is SELF CARE.
I know that word is thrown around A LOT lately but it's a necessity if you ever felt the way I did.
Self care can look different for everyone, but to me it's a workout, showering and going back into sweatsπ€£ππΌ drinking coffee & listening/note taking to my personal development audio book before I start in on messages and checking in with my clients and team.
This is a MUST for me to fill my cup before I fill others...you can't pour from an empty cup ya'll!!!!
It took me longer than I'd like to admit before I ACTUALLY started doing this but now that it's a habit I'm at my happiest. Just curious what do you do for YOU that fills your cup!? How do you self care? Or do you want to? You can write down what you would LIKE to do. Making a plan is ALWAYS a great first step to a happier you. π
Wednesday Walk
On Wednesdays we walk.... and thatβs because the Auntie Anneβs pretzel truck comes downtown...so the 2 mile walk is soooo worth it ππΌππΌππΌ Also I love that This doggo is living his best life and it's not because he has it ALL, it's because he's happy with ALL that he has.
It's a good reminder to know that happiness isn't found in what you WANT and thinking WHEN you get it THEN you will be happy....nah, man, it's found in the gratitude of what you already have here in this moment.
Be present. Be grateful. And smile with your tongue hanging out and face towards the sun because we never get to have this day again and that's why it's so freaking amazing π
