FOOD.IS.EVERYTHING. I know, we all want quick fixes (I do too....heck, I'm doing a 3 day detox in a few weeks, so I hear ya) buuuuuuut, if you don't have a better relationship with food then you will lose and gain and lose and gain and continue to look at food as a reward or punishment. Which it's neither!!!! I bring this up because my fellow Coach Charles was feeling that when he decided to commit to our healthy mindset eating program. Check out his story below....
“I had recently completed the Ironman Texas and decided to take a break from working out. I finished well and thought I was in pretty good shape. Within a few months, though, I had gained 30 pounds and felt terrible. I ate any and everything and started to pay the price once I stopped my intense training. Even with some running still, I continued to gain weight and feel bad.
I didn’t know how to get my meal planning and nutrition under control. I read lots of information and put different things together, but in the end, I was an unhealthy athlete. I believe portioning my meals was one of my biggest eye-openers. I was eating way too much, and also too much of the wrong foods. This is a simple system that I can take with me anywhere. It helped me to understand when and how to eat and proper portions. I have my nutrition under control, which has made a much bigger difference than I thought possible.”
