LESSON #8 YOUR MASTER LIST AND ADDING TO YOUR NETWORK
(YOU MAY WANT TO BREAK UP THIS TRAINING INTO 2 DAYS)
PT #1 Today is about creating your master list. This is SO important but also very easy to skip. But you’re not going to skip it :) I promise you, if you don't have a list, you don't have a business. Please don't be freaked out about your master list, this is literally a list of every person you can think of. It’s not a list of people who you think might be interested.
TIPS for CREATING YOUR LIST: Friends on Facebook (making your Facebook lists NOW) Friends on Instagram Friends from work Family & people you’d invite to your wedding Friends of friends (or acquaintances you know) Friends from high school/college **This list is NOT just people you think are into fitness or would want to be a coach. This is literally EVERYONE you know**
IT CHANGED MY BIZ WHEN I STARTED ORGANIZING MY FACEBOOK AND CREATING LISTS.
* I have a List for Coach Prospects and one for Challenger Prospects (once that list reaches 100, I create a new one for next month). I make a new list for each- each new month so I KNOW when I’m connecting with people I invite people from my Lists (saves me over 30 minutes every time) to Challenge groups (Challengers prospects) and Coach Sneak Peeks (Coach Prospects)
**DONT OVER THINK IT** Your master list is not meant to be tricky and also NOT meant to be skipped. It is crucial to your business.
This is a list of EVERYONE you know. When starting your list, you should easily get to 100-200 people (family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, doctors, distant cousins, people you haven't seen since elementary school, high school friends, girls, boys, young, old, who you'd invite to your wedding, etc etc.)
DO NOT be picky. Just start writing (or typing) everyone you can think of. Then go through Facebook to find more people you didn't think of. Then go through friends of friends who you aren't friends with on Facebook (add them if you've met them) and add them to the list. Then go through your address book, your phone, whatEVER. Just write these people down. Please - seriously - don't overthink this. You're just writing names down.
**What your Master list IS:
- Literally everyone you know - no matter their age, gender, or interests - Something to be used DAILY as a mind-jogger - Something to make your work and life easier when you're doing your power hour
**What your Master List IS NOT: - Small - Something to be created and then ignored - A list of 20-30 people - A list of only people you think are into fitness
********* HOW DO I ADD TO THIS LIST?? ********* 1. Add to it daily (remember, you're adding 3-5 people to your network daily - put them on this list) 2. Use it as a memory jogger when you're reaching out to 3-5 people every day. (remember, that is part of your daily work as a coach, too) Just scroll through (or page through) your list and as you see a name that you'd like to chat with, send them a quick message to re-connect. 3. Keep it updated 4. Make special marks (star, highlight, bold, whatever) on people who you'd LOVE to work with as a coach on your team (even if they're not into fitness, and even if you think they'd say no - seriously guys. You’re just writing it down, there's no punishment if they don’t sign up ;) ) 5. Make special marks on people who you'd love to have in your challenge group, who you believe would benefit from a program/shakeology, etc. 6. Make more special marks as you see fit, and then go back and REVIEW your master list DAILY.
PT #2..... Join a Group that YOU would fit into. (one of your 5 things that represent you) a place where you can post a pic in there 2-3x a week and then ask a question to get people engaged in your post....then SEND THEM A FRIEND REQUEST THEN ADD THEM TO A FB LIST!!!!!!
ACTION STEP ... NAME 5 PEOPLE YOU MESSAGED (JUST CHIT CHAT) AND HOW MANY PEOPLE DID YOU ADD TO YOUR F.A.C.E.B.O.O.K. LISTS?
